Gagarin is the solo project of Graham " Dids " Dowdall - long term experimental musician who has worked with the likes of Nico, John Cale, Band of Holy Joy, Suns of Arqa and is a current memeber of Pere Ubu. Originally a drummer he long ago adopted electronic instruments as his primary weapon and his music has disparate influences including Sound Art, Dance Music, Free improv, Experimental classical, pop, British folk, industrial, ambient.

The Great North Wood is Gagarin's latest album following from the acclaimed Corvid which received repeated airplay on BBC 6 music, BBC Radio 3, RTE, Amazing Radio, resonance fm and many more as well as features and reviews in XLR8R. Freq, Electronic Sound, Bigshot etc.
